Hosting terms
What hosting covers.
We host the websites we build or move for our clients. Hosting is part of looking after your site, not a stand-alone service, so the scope is kept clear and simple.
Effective November 6, 2026
- 01
What your hosting fee covers
- Your site on 20i managed hosting, with SSL and a CDN
- Keeping your domain connected to the site
- Regular backups, and restoring the site if something fails
- Server and security updates
- Keeping the site's contact or booking forms delivering email
- 02
Billed separately
- Changes to text, images, colors, logos or layout
- New pages, new features or a redesign
- Connecting outside services such as payments, booking or email marketing
- Small updates (a phone number, hours, a photo) may be done at our discretion when time allows. Anything else gets a written quote before we start.
- 03
Source code
- The source code of your site is not part of hosting.
- If you want to manage the site yourself, preparing and handing over the source is a separate paid project.
- Once you or someone else changes the code, the site is client-managed. Fixing problems that come from those changes is paid work, and we may end hosting for that site.
- 04
Server access
- To keep every site on our hosting stable and secure, we don't give out server, FTP, database or control panel access.
- Send changes to us by email. We review them, apply them and publish the site.
- 05
Support
- Requests come in by email. We usually reply within two business days.
- If your site is down, we treat it as a priority. This is not a 24/7 support service.
- 06
Billing
- Hosting is paid in advance, monthly or yearly as shown on your invoice.
- Domain registration and renewal are separate unless your invoice says otherwise.
- If a payment is more than 30 days overdue, the site may be paused until it is settled.
- 07
Cancellation and moving
- You can end hosting at any time with 30 days' notice by email. Hosting runs to the end of the period you have paid for.
- If you move to another provider, we send you the published site files and any form data we keep for you.
- Help with the move itself, such as setting up the new host or DNS, is billed separately.
- 08
Third-party assets
- Licensed assets such as premium themes, plugins, fonts or stock images may not be transferable to you.
- We are not responsible for outages of 20i or other providers outside our control, but we work to restore your site as soon as possible.
- 09
Changes to these terms
- We may update these terms. Current hosting clients will be told by email before a change takes effect.
